It was first brought to attention in 2004, through a an O'Reilly media conference.<br />Services which can be categorized under Web 2.0 are blogging sites, social-networking sites, video sharing sites and wikis. All of these sites encourage interaction and collaboration among users.<br /><br />Examples of Web 2.0-<br />Youtube.com<br />Youtube is a video sharing website which allows any registered user to submit videos of their choice, be it their own created clips or professional ones. Pornography is prohibited. Through uploading the videos, it gains a special link so other users can view it and post comments and their thoughts on the uploaded material.<br /><br />Blogger.com<br />Blogger is a blog publishing service. It is completely dedicated towards the creation and hosting of blogs. Users can register for free, create their own blog link then start posting about whatever is on their minds. Other users are able to read the blogs, comment and rate them.<br /><br />Myspace.com<br />Myspace is a worldwide social networking site, with millions of registered users.
