Interactive Design


Interactive Design is the way of creating interfaces and features in systems and products to allow interaction from a user. Interactive Design primarily concentrates on computer software, gaming consoles, mobile phone devices and other smart electronics.
An Interactive Design workpiece of considered to be good if it allows easy navigation, faster learning curve, reduces boredom and frustration and increases user satisfaction and enjoyment.

The steps designers have to follow when creating a interactive system or product are

2. Research Analysis and Concept Generation
3. Alternative Design and Evaluation
4. Prototyping and Usability Testing

5. Implementation
6. System Testing

About Information/instructional Design

Information Design is the discipline of creating and showing information in such a way which allows the best readability and understandability. Information Design has been with human civilization since the earliest age- man tried to find the best way to communicate information to another. Information Design can usually be found in works ranging from statistical graphs to road signs.

What is web 2.0?

Web 2.0 can be defined as an updated version of the World Wide Web, it allows information sharing, hosting between users which allow interactivity and creativity. It was first brought to attention in 2004, through a an O'Reilly media conference.
Services which can be categorized under Web 2.0 are blogging sites, social-networking sites, video sharing sites and wikis. All of these sites encourage interaction and collaboration among users.

Youtube.com
Youtube is a video sharing website which allows any registered user to submit videos of their choice, be it their own created clips or professional ones. Pornography is prohibited. Through uploading the videos, it gains a special link so other users can view it and post comments and their thoughts on the uploaded material.

Blogger.com
Blogger is a blog publishing service. It is completely dedicated towards the creation and hosting of blogs. Users can register for free, create their own blog link then start posting about whatever is on their minds. Other users are able to read the blogs, comment and rate them.

Myspace.com
Myspace is a worldwide social networking site, with millions of registered users. Registration is free and through registering, users can create their own profile, complete with information on their appearance, interests, etc. It is a site which allows users to browse and meet new people online.
